OCTIMUS STEAM — Edge Gateway Mini PC

OCTIMUS STEAM is a fanless edge gateway mini PC — 6 TOPS NPU, dual LAN, serial and CAN as an option. It goes in as an in-vehicle computer with CAN, and as the box that sensors, controllers and screens on a site all report into. Designed and built in Thailand, so a port change goes to the engineers who drew the board.

  • CPU: Cortex-A72 + Cortex-A53
  • Display support: 4K/8K
  • NPU: 6 TOPS
  • I/O: Dual LAN, Serial, CAN (optional)
  • Fanless — no moving parts

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need two LAN ports, or is one enough?

Take dual LAN when the box has to sit between two networks — machines and sensors on one side, the site network on the other — so every device is aggregated and isolated behind one gateway instead of being exposed directly. One LAN is enough only when everything already sits on the same network.

Does CAN come as standard, or is it an option?

CAN is an option on the OCTIMUS STEAM, not standard. Tell us at quotation stage whether the application needs it and the unit is configured that way before it ships.

Will it hold up mounted inside a vehicle?

This is the model we point in-vehicle projects at: the CAN option plus a fanless design, so there is no fan to seize and no filter to clog in a cabin full of dust and vibration. Send the vehicle type and the mounting constraints and we confirm the configuration.
