Mini PC or all-in-one panel PC — which one does my application need?
Ask whether the application already has a screen. OCTIMUS is a mini PC: a box you connect to the display or the machine you already have, which is what a signage player or a vending controller needs. KEL is an all-in-one PC: touch screen, computer and I/O in a single unit, so a kiosk face or a control cabinet takes one device instead of two. If an operator has to touch it, choose KEL.
How much AI performance should I be paying for?
Start from the workload, not the price. OCTIMUS B (1 TOPS) for playback and machine control; OCTIMUS X (6 TOPS, 8K) for kiosks and machine vision; OCTIMUS STEAM (6 TOPS, dual LAN, optional CAN) for gateways and in-vehicle; OCTIMUS Max (160 TOPS) when a language model has to run on the device.
Are all eight models fanless, and will that hold up in a sealed cabinet?
Yes — every OCTIMUS and KEL model is fanless. Heat leaves through the enclosure, so there is no fan to seize, no filter to service and no dust path into the machine. That is what makes the range suitable for sealed cabinets and continuous 24/7 duty.
