The entry model in the 10.1 inch line: the 800×1280 touch screen, the computer and the RS232/485/TTL ports sit in one fanless unit — and this is the only KEL that can carry an access-control relay on the board itself. Built for door posts, locker faces and simple operator panels, designed and built in Thailand.

What does the access-control relay do, and which models have it?
COM6 can be built as a single-pole double-throw relay, so the panel switches a lock or a strike directly instead of driving a separate controller. Only the KEL-XS carries it in the 10.1 inch line — KEL-X and KEL-XL reach a controller over RS232 or RS485 instead.
What is the difference between the KEL-XS and the KEL-X?
Same 10.1 inch 800×1280 body and the same serial ports. The KEL-XS is the entry model: a Quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 10/100M Ethernet and no HDMI output, plus the optional relay. The KEL-X steps up to a Quad-core Cortex-A17, gigabit Ethernet and 4K HDMI that can drive a second screen.
Does it need a separate computer?
No. The 10.1 inch touch screen, the computer and the RS232/485/TTL ports are one fanless unit, so there is no second box in the cabinet and no fan or filter in the cabinet face.
Will the screen hold up in direct sunlight?
The standard panel is 500 cd/m², which is an indoor brightness. For a sunlit location the KEL-XS can be built with a 1000 cd/m² high-brightness panel — it is a hardware change, so it moves the unit price. Say so in the quote request and we price it in.
